Sr. Quality Engineer ensures that the company's products and processes meet established quality standards by identifying shortfalls, developing corrective measures, and implementing quality control systems.
- Developing and implementing quality standards and control systems with a focus on improving quality control.
- Monitoring and analyzing quality performance and its associated KPIs. Conducting weekly meetings to present improvement plans to management.
- Problem-solving oriented, following the 8D, A3 methodology, PDCA, RCA, Six Sigma tools, or others, to develop corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.
- Continuous quality improvement by continually challenging the results obtained in the Quality KPIs through evaluation, analysis, and teamwork to achieve established goals such as First Pass Yield, Rework, Product Audits, and Scrap.
- Strong communication of the performance and results of the quality system and KPIs with personnel involved in manufacturing processes and reporting to top management.
- Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
- Providing support and actively participating in all projects such as NPI, Vertical integrations, CR, or any other, delivering all necessary quality-related deliverables on time and completely.
- Developing process deviations and communicating them to personnel involved in manufacturing areas.
- Developing all necessary documentation, standardizing work, procedures, training, and controlling documents and quality system maintenance.
- Providing necessary tools (gauges) for the inspection of product quality.
- Controlling and certifying process-critical operations, training new operations, and communicating with HR for documentation and registration of trainings.Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of prior relevant experience as a Process Quality Engineer and/or Customer Quality Engineer.
- Proficiency in English (90%). Effective communication in English with suppliers and corporate team members in the US.
- Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing, Problem Solving, SPC, PDCA, A3, and other quality tools.
- Ability to interact and work in a factory floor environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with minimum errors and excellent attention to detail.
