OverviewThe Sr. Quality Engineer will lead the efforts for process quality and customer quality improvement on the assembly area and incoming inspection lab.
Is responsible for leading continuous improvement projects by performing in depth data analysis using different techniques.

The successful candidate will contribute to the consistent improvement of key KPIs.ResponsibilitiesWork on moderate to high complexity technical tasks to reduce internal and external quality issues.Lead continuous process improvement teams chartered to achieve and exceed plant quality objectives.Implement Statistical Process Control across assembly cells and drive corrective actions when required.Provide quality engineering expertise as a member of the New Product Development team to assure compliance to specifications.Analyze quality assurance data and initiate root cause and corrective action efforts to eliminate assignable causes that affect product quality.Diagnose quality problems (field, vendor's site and manufacturing plant), develop solutions, and monitor corrective action implementation and effectiveness.Work closely with product engineering, manufacturing engineering and operations personnel to reduce manufacturing process variation and reduce plant's cost of quality.Manage the RGA analysis process and utilize data to drive continuous improvement.Drive conformance of processes and procedures through the internal audit process and the corrective action process.Maintain process control documentation like control plans and PFMEA.Lead inspection reduction efforts.Participate in corporate standardization efforts and audits.Train supervisors, leads, technicians, and operators in adherence to the plant quality system.Certify and validate manufacturing processes using statistical tools.QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or a related field.7+ years of experience in a quality role in a manufacturing environment with automated processes.Knowledge of quality tools: SPC charts, Pareto analysis, Gage R&R, FMEA, Six Sigma, Process Validation, DOE, etc.Excellent problem solving, communication, and team building skills.Track record of recognizing opportunities for improvement and implementing changes.Fluent in English language.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Advanced technical degree or MBA.ASQ CQE and/or CQA.Proficiency with SPC software, preferably Proficient from Infinity QS.Proficiency using Minitab.Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).#J-18808-Ljbffr
