.Innovate to solve the world's most important challengesLead a Quality organization at the Tijuana site that applies its expertise and knowledge in finding innovative, cost-effective means to improve quality output and continuous improvements working with Operations, Engineering, Operations AME, and Sourcing. You will lead the strategic direction and initiatives that ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulatory agencies, government regulations, and engineering specifications while instilling site accountability for governance of the Quality System, product acceptance, and product quality.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and monitor quality performance metrics. Lead the deployment of quality improvement strategies through functional teams and coordinate with support functions to ensure customer quality satisfaction.Lead the development and deployment of quality assurance best practices throughout the site; define yearly goals & objectives aligned with business strategies; support implementation teams to ensure Quality leadership goals are met, as well as the assessment and action planning of the maturity path to Quality Vision.Implement a process-based quality system by creating methodology for process yield reporting.Develop and properly execute the internal and external audit program to measure the overall compliance and effectiveness of the quality management system. Ensure compliance with contract and customer requirements and safety regulatory requirements.Document work through work instructions and policy and procedures and ensure proper implementation of those requirements.Resolve quality-related issues with suppliers, customers, and production through strong cross-functional leadership.Develop and deploy a Management Review process that requires site leadership engagement to assure the effectiveness of the site's overall Quality Management System (Audits, RCCA, VOC, Regulatory compliance, etc.). All aspects of Quality Assurance as well as interfacing with manufacturing to ensure proper flow of information and data for continued product support.Hire, train, and develop the quality team at the site.Participate in Lean/Six Sigma activity to drive continuous improvement across the site.Facilitate and execute projects leading to standardization, simplification, and improvement of existing quality systems, and utilize Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations to evaluate and prevent escapes/defects. Strong COPQ reduction program leadership is expected at the site.YOU MUST HAVEBachelor's Degree in Engineering (MBA is highly preferred)10+ years of experience in Quality for manufacturing operations5-7 years of managerial experience.WE VALUESolid communication and interpersonal skills.Organizational, planning, and program management skills with careful attention to detail.Ability to build trusting relationships and communicate effectively at all levels
