JOB DESCRIPTIONReview and analyze quality trends with the manufacturing team.
Considering the quality trends provides direction in terms of setting work priorities for process enhancement.
Provide guidance to manufacturing supervisors and process quality technicians to ensure that effective in-depth investigations are performed.
Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional, multilevel technical teams to assure causes of non-conformance are identified and understood and that sound corrective/preventive actions are implemented.
Evaluation of the implemented corrective and preventive actions against trends to assess effectiveness of the same.Key Responsibilities:Responsible for daily tracking and communication on QA Tier 3 meeting the key quality metrics: Internal PPM, CPU (Scrap Rate) and defect pareto to demonstrate accountability.Ensure IATF standards during daily Gemba and LSW execution on shop floor to achieve 0 major and 0 minor non-conformities during internal and external audits; once per year.Supervise the gathering of capability studies, Gage R&R and SPC records (annually).Coach process quality staff on the correct utilization of GBSS tools for problem solving, as well as CORE Quality tools: PCP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA and PPAP.REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related areas required.5-8 years of relevant experience as a quality engineer or complementary skills.Advanced English proficiency.Six Sigma Black-belt (preferred).Understanding of applicable product liability and legal requirements and procedures.Knowledge of quality systems & standards, e.G.
IATF 16949.Strong communicator, externally and internally.Well organized to manage multiple competing priorities in parallel.Assertive in representing the GTX Change Management Process.Garrett is an equal opportunity employer.
