We are looking for a highly motivated and engaged Should Cost leader to contribute to Schneider Electric cost competitiveness and productivity through the use of analytics tools used in procurement strategies and negotiations. These analytics tools are called Should Cost because they help the buyers to evaluate what the price of a part/component/service should be. Your focus area will be on conducting Should Cost analysis for various Fabricated Components & Raw Material categories (such as stampings, plastics, assemblies, copper) for the creation and execution of a cost saving roadmap for the North America Region. You will be based in Monterrey (Mexico) as part of the Should Cost team, reporting operationally to the Global Should Cost & Analytics Director based in Grenoble (France). The role is part of a matrix, with contacts and stakeholders across regions and different functions. As Should Cost Manager, you will work closely with Category Management as well as Regional Procurement Management in order to secure a positive impact and alignment on cost savings roadmap, provide technical / should cost trainings, support on negotiation campaigns and leverage digital analytics tools. Responsibilities: Leadership competencies to manage relationships in a matrix organization and support the internal customers' cost analysis in Europe and globally. Create, lead, and execute should cost strategy and execute coverage plan for production Procurement commodities. Utilize analytic tools and methods to identify productivity opportunities through benchmarking costs. The candidate will leverage internal and external technical experts, buyers' experience as well as your own skill set to develop these tools. Support supplier negotiations utilizing Should Cost & Clean Sheet analysis to drive fact-based sustainable productivity as a strategic business partner. Increase Should Cost and Clean Sheet coverage by Category. Identify and lead gap analysis and partner with Category Management to identify actions and timeline to "close the gap". Increase the use of Should Cost tools by the Procurement team and lead training and collaborative workshops with Category leaders, Buyers, and Suppliers. Category scope: Primary focus area will be Fabricated Components (FC), Raw Materials (RM). Specific expertise in Should Cost and Cost Model Breakdown / Clean Sheet for Stampings, Sheet Metal, Injection Molding, Steel and Non-Ferrous Raw Material. Qualifications: Self-driven / motivated individual with strong communication, collaboration and influence skill set. 5-10 Years of Strong Should Cost & Methodology analysis. Strong Purchasing / Procurement and strategic sourcing background with proven track record of success. Negotiating skills and experience working in a strategic environment. Cost Structure Expert (Value Add, Raw Material, Labor Rates, Machine Rates, Overhead). Demonstrated Should Cost calculation experience on Fabricated Components and Raw Material categories and certification on Engineering Software such as Creo, Lantek, Techniquote, aPriori and others. Strong Analytical Skills and Excel proficiency for large datasets, curiosity to innovate new formulas for better calculation. Excel – High proficiency to manage big database comparison, VLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, etc. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or other related function from a top University with 10+ years progressive experience in Category Management. Familiar with #Regression Analysis (#Minitab, R Studio). Desired experience in Machine Learning basic foundation for Regression.
