Development and execution of global sourcing strategies to achieve best total value, sustainable productivity and high levels of quality and service aligned with business objectives.**_Job Summary_**The Supervisor, Strategic Sourcing provides direct leadership to Strategic Buyers in the area with an emphasis on core operational values including safety, quality, delivery, cost management, and inventory (SQDCI). This job monitors the purchasing of Machine Repair Operating (MROs) required for the manufacturing of finished goods. The Supervisor, Strategic Sourcing is responsible for the negotiation of pricing, terms for purchase orders and contracts. Additionally, this job manages and monitors supplier performance and quality control activities. This job supports all corporate purchasing initiatives and act as liaison between the facility and the Corporate Sourcing Organization.**_Responsibilities_**- Collaborates with the engineering group to identify new suppliers that support current product offerings and future projects that represent cost savings, improvement in service, and reduction of quality risk.- Maintains area KPI performance and updates as needed.- Analyzes and selects new possible suppliers for current materials and for new projects.- Negotiates pricing and terms for the purchase of goods and services that implement lean manufacturing concepts, such as Vendor Managed Inventories, Kanban systems and Just in Time deliveries when applied.- Leads communication to ensure consistent and effective communication across the organization.- Establishes and implements supply chain best practices that align with the key initiatives of the business unit.- Ensures ethical and legal compliance of procurement processes and offers related training to the organization.- Supports the changes on procedures for the purchasing department, ensuring that the purchasing procedures and activities are compliant with FDA, ISO etc
