The main goal is to ensure that the wireless network operates smoothly, securely, and in line with the business requirements.This involves primarily working with wireless protocols, technologies, and infrastructure to establish reliable and efficient communication between systems and users.About the RoleMAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIESDesign, implement, and maintain LAN and WAN networks.Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other networking equipment.Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues.Perform network monitoring and capacity planning to ensure optimal network performance.Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network infrastructure with other systems.Develop and maintain documentation related to network infrastructure and operations.Participate in network security initiatives and ensure compliance with security policies.Keep up to date with industry developments and best practices related to networking.EDUCATIONBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.Required: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or CCIE or equivalent level from other vendors.Commitment to ongoing professional development through courses, workshops, and seminars to stay current with evolving technologies and industry standards.EXPERIENCE8+ years of experience in designing and implementing next-gen wireless networks.Previous experience of working as a SME/Lead Engineer for Cisco Wireless.Familiarity with RF planning and capabilities of performing site surveys using one or more tools (Ekahau, AirMagnet, etc.).Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.Proficiency in creating architecture documents (HLD/LLD/Work Instructions).Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.SKILLS & KNOWLEDGEWorking experience with a wide range of Cisco & Meraki Wireless Product Family.Experience with Cisco AireOS & Catalyst Controllers.Network management platforms like Cisco Catalyst center (D-NAC) and ISE.Ability to act as a SME for Wireless domain and lead key projects and initiatives.Experience operating high-density AP and client deployments.Ability to perform passive and active wireless site surveys (e.G., using Ekahau).LANGUAGESBusiness fluent in English (written and spoken).SPECIFIC PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES (optional)Prior experience of working in the Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry is a plus.Basic knowledge of network infrastructure automation using Python, Ansible, and Restful API is a plus.Why Novartis: Helping people with disease and their families takes more than innovative science
