In this role, you will engage in the designing, developing, and implementing of cutting-edge structural systems for Commercial facilities with a primary emphasis on steel frame structures, reinforced concrete structures, Masonry Structures, and PEMB configurations.
As a Structural Engineer at SSOE, you will have a foundation in structural principles, structural analysis & calculations, and a proficiency with **Revit** and **AutoCAD**.
**Responsibilities**:The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing.
Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.- Performs a variety of routine engineering assignments under the direction of a supervisor with increasing responsibility based on performance.- Plans, develops, coordinates, and directs a medium to large engineering project or a number of smaller complex projects with overall responsibility for budget adherence, schedule adherence, quality control, and inter-discipline coordination.- May supervise, coordinate, and review the work of a team of engineers and designers working on the same assigned project.- May represents the firm in meetings and conferences to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate a project.- Meets with client to define project scope, present project progress, and assure client satisfaction.- Performs routine calculations and work on PC system.- Provides supervisor and project manager with scope of work change warnings.- Maintains continuing professional education in discipline.- Takes part in client contact and business development activities.- Communicates with supervisor concerning progress or problems in an assigned task.- Updates department REVIT standards.- Knowledge of US Codes: ASCE7, IBC, ACI 318, AISC 360- Masonry & Wood experience- Post-tensioned concrete- Seismic Design Category D / High seismic design experience / basics knowledgeQualifications:- **What You Will Bring**:- Bachelor Degree in Engineering as Civil Engineer and Master Degree in Structural design or Sciences.
