Job DescriptionServes as a 'Lead' advisor to other assembly supervisors with responsibility for coordinating the efforts of multiple lines and production areas.First-line supervisor responsible for assigning and coordinating the work in a manufacturing department in order to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality. Trains and mentors new coaches. Serves as backup in the absence of the production manager and/or other supervisors as required. Has authority for personnel actions and oversees most day to day operations of assigned group. Maintains log of shift operations and time/attendance records within assigned area. Assigns employees to maximize production objectives, maintain quality and attain output requirements. Participates in establishing and modifying operational methods and processes by recommending changes in materials, equipment, schedules and procedures. Maintains a variety of reports, records and production documentation to reflect schedules and performance. Works effectively with other supervisors and production managers to resolve conflicts, meet overall objectives, and manage change. Makes daily decisions regarding the use of resources across multiple lines in order to maintain effective overall operations (movement of talent, cross training, etc.). Maintains operational and administrative discipline within scope of responsibility by ensuring the accurate and timely completion of time/attendance records, execution of DPT procedures, safety/quality audits and associated corrective actions, development and execution of an effective cross-training plan, and consistent application of current policies
QualificationsRequires a bachelor degree in engineering or related. Requires at least 5 years related experience.Knowledge in Assembly, brazing & coil process.Good work record and experience. Ability to lead in a production environment. Requires tact and good judgement. Excellent communication skills.
