Xylem, Inc. is a leading global water technology company servicing more than 150 countries and is dedicated to solving the world's challenging water issues.We are looking for a Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer in Monterrey, NL MX!CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for monitoring & improving supplier quality performance.Responsible for supplier manufacturing process improvement with emphasis on quality and on-time delivery to original agreed purchase order receipt dates.PPAP knowledge & documentation.Responsible for inspection and authorized for accepting and rejecting products.Establish green channel supplier base, supplier quality audits, and on-time closure of NCR with effective corrective & preventive action specialized in diversified commodity.New part development (NPD) with supplier and ensure parts are qualified first time right.Handle inspection & quality assurance of diversified commodity independently.Final inspection and testing of finished products.On-site inspection at supplier & receiving inspection.Process inspection.Use measuring instruments.Ensure product meets requirements.Analyze customer complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions.Data capturing, consolidation, analysis, and plan for improvements on a regular basis.Ensure defect-free products to customers. Conduct process capability studies, problem analysis, and establish root cause; plan and implement CAPA.Improve and maintain QMS within the plant & Xylem supplier base. Implement supplier quality system and impart training as required.Provide technical assistance and advice to project team on inspection levels, materials testing certification, and handover documentation.Lead and coordinate the development and application of criticality assessment criteria and project quality programs.QUALIFICATIONS:B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or DME with an additional 2 years of experience than desired.At least 4-6 years of working experience in the quality department.ISO Audit Certification, Six Sigma certifications are added advantages for this position.Excellent communication skills.Work independently and proactively.Accountability and self-management.Strong interpersonal skills.Organized and accurate in work.Collaboration and problem-solving capabilities.Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.Time management and resource planning/management.Knowledge of quality audit processes, procedures, and records
