Job DescriptionIf you have experience working with Mexican VAT (IVA) and you are looking to make your next career move, this is an exciting opportunity to support the LEGO Group Tax VAT as you join a growing business in an international department with colleagues spread all over the world.Core ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage the entire VAT refund process, ensuring timely and accurate refunds.Ensure compliance with Mexican VAT laws and regulations and prepare detailed reports for internal and external partners.Have proper interactions with our firms and Tax authorities to make refunds happen.Collaborate with process and data specialists to facilitate the improvement of our data gathering to speed up our VAT refunds.Assist in VAT audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations to tax authorities.Analyze VAT data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for operational improvements.Liaise with internal departments, external consultants, and tax authorities to resolve VAT-related issues or discrepancies.Data reporting through SAP / BI reports or seeking support for other automation tools such as RPA or advanced analytics.Ensure proper documentation practices are followed and supporting files are "audit ready.".Provide training and guidance to staff on VAT refund processes and compliance to take advantage of lessons learned.Do you have what it takes?Bachelors in Accounting or Finance, CPA.Accounting / Tax Certifications.Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in VAT refund processing, with a strong understanding of Mexican VAT laws.Proven track record in handling high volumes of VAT refunds.Use tax expertise to recommend improvements to our current processes via equipped end-to-end thinking and lean concepts.Ability to document processes in flow charts and narratives.Independently drive the successful completion of VAT refund objectives and identify operational improvements, showcasing your determined nature.Strong written and verbal communication skills.High ethical standards and a commitment to compliance and accuracy.Previous experience with SAP, Blackline, Power BI.Fully Bilingüal.Join the global LEGO team!Your workplace: Our offices will be your primary workplace with flexibility to work from home during your working week.
