.Position Title: _Senior Technical Designer_Reports to: _Senior Group Product Manager_Classification: _Salary Exempt_- Position Description_As a member of the Product Design team, the Senior Technical Designer has multiple responsibilities that relate to developing new product. This position requires at least 3 years of design experience and is mínimally developing product at a mid-level tier. This means that the Senior Technical Designer is fully functional and autonomously managing accounts. The Sr. Technical Designer is a key link between the sales team and customers, as well as, internal stakeholders (manufacturing, supply chain, customer service).- Key Responsibilities_- Customer account management and support. Managing day-to-day customer inquiries and issues in an efficient and professional manner. This includes daily communication with our customers to assess their needs and design products accordingly, setting clear and achievable design and timing expectations with our customers, and building strong relationships with our customers, with a focus on excellent customer service and the creation of "fanatic fans".- Overseeing and participating in the design of new products for assigned accounts. This includes delegating work to technical designers, tracking and reporting on progress, providing guidance on difficult designs, and independent judgment to decide what is the best way to balance aesthetics, cost, and production scalability and customer expectations.- Participating in the New Product Introduction process: informing the factory of unusual new products and communicating the customer's expectations and requirements for those products. This can include partnering with the Engineering team to find solutions that meet customer needs and also production scalability.- Organizing and managing fabric assortments. This includes maintaining a fabric library, designating various fabric treatments per customer while setting up fabric markers accordingly, and handling COM (customer's own merchandise) fabric orders.- Traveling domestically and internationally to meet with customers and production facilities to review quality and accuracy of new product production. Judgment is used to determine what is acceptable and what is not acceptable.- Direct and support the consistent implementation of company initiatives.- Other duties as assigned.
