We are seeking a Senior Technical Specialist to fill a dedicated Master Problem Solver role within the Current Product Reliability and Disciplined Problem Solving team at Navistar!
In this role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional groups primarily involving R&D, Aftersales, and Manufacturing to complete Statistical Problem Solving (SPS/RedX) projects that will span across all Navistar product families, and facilitate the continued deployment of SPS across the organization.
In addition to project completion, your responsibilities will include coaching and mentoring problem solving initiatives.
The key objective of the role is to drive effective root cause and corrective actions at the right customer desired velocity levels.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Identify and complete SPS projects as assigned by management
- Contribute to the development of SPS orientation and training programs for employees
- Deliver training courses for employees at multiple facility and remote locations
- Present information with a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures
- Evaluate new projects for SPS applicability at project hopper process
- Present project value and status to senior leadership on a regular basis
- Coach and mentor SPS leads through the completion of their projects
Basic Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology and at least 12 years of experience in product design/development or new technologies and at least 2 years of experience leading new technologies or specialized technologies
OR
Master's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology and at least 8 years of experience in product design/development or new technologies and at least 2 years of experience leading new technologies or specialized technologies
OR
PhD in Engineering or Engineering Technology and at least 5 years of experience in product design/development or new technologies or specialized technologies and at least 2 years of experience leading new technologies or specialized technologies
