**Responsibilities**:
- Develop, implement, and maintain test methods, equipment and systems for electronic products and assemblies.
- Research and development of new methods, design of equipment and systems to improve testing procedures
- Use quality and maintenance data to measure test equipment performance and implement improvements
- Provide accurate written test procedures and maintenance routines/spare parts list to be used in production.
- Contribute to data recording of team and test department activities for performance evaluation purposes.
- Provide technical assistance, services, and support to product lines for manufacturing processes and products.
- Documents projects according to current guidelines and formats.
- Initiate actions necessary to meet or exceed cost reduction targets within the area of responsibility.
- Assist and support the development and training program for production personnel on product operation and testing.
- Follow up on ISO 9000 and implement effective corrective actions.
- Comply with the security policy, regulations, and procedures applicable in the company.
**Authority**:
Responsible for guaranteeing the optimal functioning of the test equipment, providing support and coordinating the actions of the test technicians.
**Basic Requirements**:
- Degree completed in electronics, mechatronics and/or electromechanics.
- 5 years developing and implementing Test Systems for Electronic Assemblies
- Demonstrated experience in Six Sigma statistical methods, including DOE, Cpk and R&R
- Reading and understanding of electronic and electrical diagrams.
- Proven ability to develop and program Software, such as C/C++, NI Visual Basic CVI, LabView, etc.
- Bilingual (English-Spanish) 90%.
- Knowledge in lean manufacturing.
- Knowledge in IPC-A-610
**Desirable requirements**:
- Ability to solve problems using statistical methods: preferable Six Sigma.
- Ability to implement short-term projects and manage multiple priorities.
- Define and implement activities aimed at cost reduction.
- Identification and optimal management of resources.
- Ability to select machinery and equipment.
- **Ability to work in teams with electronic systems.
