This team creates robust, automated test platforms to validate our highly configurable product offering. Product families include Automated Meter Infrastructure, Demand Response, Substation Automation and Line Sensors. EAS production occurs at Contract Manufacturing (CM) facilities located throughout North America. This position would primarily report to EAS Test Engineering Manager for work priorities, performance and development; with a dotted line management tie to local Eaton Site for HR function.**Essential Job Functions**:- Test System Support:- Collaboration with, and mentorship to, CM engineering for support of existing test system base of 100+ systems. Support happens both remotely and on-site at CM as required. Travel required up to 25%.- Level 2 production test support Initial analysis of issue (level 1) will be performed byCM Test support personnel.- Quality checks and performance audits.- Continuous improvements projects to optimize test systems. Yield improvements, failure mode elimination, cycle time reductions, capacity planning, etc.- Periodically requires 2nd shift, holiday and weekend work hours to resolve issues.- Design for Test:- Collaborate closely with Test, HW, FW and Manufacturing teams for DFT and definition of test strategy with emphasis on automation.- Automated Test System Development:- Design and procurement of advanced automated test systems for electronic designs at PCBA and final assembly levels.- Creation of TestStand and LabVIEW software with emphasis on code that is documented, structured, maintainable and reusable.- Manage quote, vendor selection, and procurement activities for equipment builds.- Data-driven statistical methodologies (Cpk, Ppk, GRR, etc.) for system validation, release and continuous improvement initiatives
