**Primary Purpose**:
Work with all NASG manufacturing facilities to identify and improve their monthly top 5 worst tools.
Improve the overall performance of plant tooling while reducing operating costs.
Education Requirements >High School Diploma or GED.
>Certified Toolmaker or 10 years in the Tool and Die field.
Experience Requirements >10 years hands on experience in tooling / process improvement activities.
>Strong leadership and customer relations skills >Proficient with MS office software.
>Cad experience required sufficient skills for die design reviews.

Principle Duties and/or Responsibilities >Coach the manufacturing team on best practices for tool management.
>Training the manufacturing team to identify their top opportunities and make them better, while also working within their budgets.
>Manage top priorities with multiple tooling divisions.
>Travel as necessary, up to 25% of the time, to NASG facilities where tooling assistance is required.
>Attend new program design reviews and feasibility reviews to ensure best practices in all facilities on all new tooling.
>Attend new program tooling runoffs at NASG manufacturing facilities.
>Address problems and make/implement solutions to improve efficiencies, process, product flow, safety, and quality.
>Work closely and co-operatively with Tooling Managers and Tooling Engineers.
>Report progress and any deficiencies at weekly engineering / APQP meetings.
>Lead and assist with continuous improvement activities.
>Investigate, resolve and/or recommend solutions to problems typically relating to tooling and relatedautomation.
>Keep abreast of new technology & utilize wherever possible to keep NASG on the leading edge & world-class.
>Maintain supplier confidence and cooperation while reinforcing supplier responsibility.
>Meet all requirements as defined by the Occupational Health and Safety Act of site location and the NASG Safety program.
>Must have strong inter-personal skills to allow clear communication.
>Upgrade self with training as required for Job Responsibilities.
