.The Tooling Engineer supports the PPAP process qualification activities as they relate to the quality of outside suppliers of finished parts and goods. The position is focused on assuring Resideo's external tooling (Plastics, Rubber, Stamping, etc) meet the requirements of the tooling standard and the parts they produce meet the Quality requirements of Resideo. The TE assists the supply base in performance improvement though the use of the technical knowledge, adequate use of process controls, adherence to control plans and systematic problem solving processes.**YOU MUST HAVE**:- BS Mechanical Engineering or equivalent- Understanding of PPAP process and associated tools (DFM/DFx, PPAP, FMEA's, Control Plan, MSA and Capability Studies).- Minimum 5 years of hands on experience on tooling in a Metal Stamping or Die Casting manufacturing environment. Similar experience on a Molding Manufacturing environment is desirable.- Minimum 3 years of experience as Tooling Engineer, Tool Maker or Tool Design.- Minimum 1 year of experience as process engineer for Molding or Metal Stamping processes.- Experienced with use of problem solving tools.- Experience with mechanical parts and commodities. Familiar with processes and equipment necessary to manufacture parts, including metal stampings, machined parts and powdered metal parts.- Green Belt certification with Lean and DFSS experience a plus.- Demonstrated capability in identifying best practices and implementing them.- Must be willing to work in results based, fast paced environment, with mínimal supervision.- Will interface regularly with all levels of design personnel within Resideo, Corporate and suppliers globally.- Excellent communications skills required.
