Position overviewThe objective of this position is to ensure sound lending decisions by conducting thorough credit analyses of logistics businesses, collaborating with teams to structure appropriate loans, and monitoring compliance with financial regulations. The role also involves managing risk, overseeing client onboarding, and staying informed on industry trends to mitigate potential risks effectively. Key responsibilitiesConduct thorough credit analysis of small and medium-sized businesses within the logistics industry, assessing their financial health, credit history, and overall risk profile.Review and analyze financial statements, business plans, market conditions, and other relevant data to make informed lending decisions.Collaborate with the sales and within the risk management teams to structure loan terms that meet both the company's risk appetite and the client's financial needs.Provide clear and concise reports and recommendations to senior management regarding credit risk and loan approvalConduct risk assessments on new and existing clients to identify potential compliance issues and recommend actions to mitigate risksMonitor and ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and legal requirements in Mexico, including AML and KYC standards.Client Onboarding: Oversee and coordinate the client onboarding process, ensuring that all documentation meets regulatory standards and that due diligence is performed according to company policies. Identify potential fraud and report to the relevant authoritiesMonitor and manage the portfolio of loans, update credit analyses by identifying potential risks and taking proactive steps to mitigate them.Assist in internal and external audits related to risk and compliance, ensuring that all documentation and procedures are up to date and accurate.Stay up-to-date with industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact the logistics sector and our lending practices.Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders in both Spanish and English. Necessary skills and experienceBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.5+ years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting or a related role, preferably within the Fintech or financial services sector.Expertise in assessing credit risk for SMEs, with an understanding of the logistics industry preferredProficiency in financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, and risk assessment.Understanding of AML, KYC, and other compliance and regulatory requirements in Mexico.Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to balance risk and reward in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication skills, with fluency in both Spanish and English (verbal and written).Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance in Mexico is a plus.#J-18808-Ljbffr
