The Staff Accountant collaborates in creating and analyzing financial reports and ensures compliance of legal requirements.
Processes the monthly closings of the companies' books, analyzes the data and reports on the results, and assists in accurately recording all day-to-day financial transactions for each company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

? Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
? Prepare and file tax returns (Sales, use, property, and other state or federal taxes).
? Record journal entries as part of monthly close process.
? Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including intercompany balances, as well as other accounts as needed.
? Prepare variance reports and research discrepancies.
? Prepare subsidiary financial statements, including the balance sheet and income statement, and provide information on fluctuations and important transactions.
? Support in special projects as needed including the annual audit.
? Effectively communicate information and respond to questions/suggestions from various levels within the company.
? Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
Requirements ? At least 3 years of related experience/training within an accounting function/department, preferable in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
? 1 year of public accounting experience preferred.
? Must have an understanding of accounting rules and procedures including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
? Must have a proven track record in ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
? Must have strong accounting background, mathematical, analytical, communication skills and the ability to multi-task.
? Strong quantitative and organizational skills are required.
? Must possess the ability to interact effectively with business partners and all levels of management.
? Strong attention to detail is critical as well as the ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance assurance.
? Proficiency in Microsoft office, data analytics, Dynamics 365 ERP.
? Possess advanced mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
