With mínimal direction and under limited supervision, performs professional accounting function requiring thorough knowledge of general accounting methods, principals and practices.
Analyzes complex accounting records and financial statements for multiple locations.
Examines and interprets accounting records including general accounting, cost or budget data.- Prepares monthly financial reports and various related statements that reflect department and location's financial conditions for a mínimal of 4 facilities.
These assignments will be for the less complex facilities.- Compile financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.- Prepare monthly bank and check reconciliation.- Monitors expenditures to ensure that departments and facilities remain within budget.- Determines proper handling of financial transactions and approves transactions within designated limits.- Prepare semi-monthly payroll and interim entries- Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.- Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.- Participates in special projects as needed**Requirements**:This position requires an Associate's degree with 2 years related experience.
A bachelor's degree is preferred.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Database software;Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software, Excel.
