.Descripción y detalle de las actividadesThe Staff Accountant contributes to the overall success of the organization by effectively managing all financial tasks for the organization.
The following are considered primary areas of focus:Provides management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts and assisting with preparing financial statements, specifically in these areas:Responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounts payable including accounts payable staff.Performing general ledger account and bank statement reconciliation.Assisting with the preparation of journal entries and financial statements.Accounting / Finance Duties and Responsibilities:Recommending process improvements and helping implement when approved by management.Monthly closing process includes:Compiling an accrual list for the Accounting Manager at each month-end close.Keep track of prepaids and make corresponding journal entries.Maintain records for fixed assets.Bank account reconciliation.Confirm legal invoices.Petty cash reconciliation.Sales tax reconciliation.Ensure no POs are left open at month end and run the IR/GR clearing process.
