Job Overview As the Staff Accountant, you will contribute to a variety of accounting functions, including accounts payable, managing vendors, general ledger maintenance/reconciliations and BS/PL flux analyses. This role will be an integral part of the Global Accounting team and will work closely with the Accounting Manager in our San Francisco office.
Responsibilities Prepare and record journal entries to support a timely month-end close using NetSuite. Analyze and complete assigned monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Record cash and expense transactions, ensuring accurate categorization. Own and process US accounts payable. Review all out-of-pocket expense reimbursements, and categorize corporate credit card spending. Ensure consistent expense categorization by maintaining vendor management. Maintain compliance with all Federal, State and Local tax laws and ensure all business filings are completed. Partner with various departments on accruals, vendor management and contracts management. Assist with implementation of the Fixed Asset module in NetSuite. Assist with other accounting projects and perform ad hoc analysis and reporting. Assist to fulfill requests in annual audit. Qualifications Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience required; CPA/CPA candidate a plus but not required. 1-3 years accounting experience in similar position. Audit experience in Big 4/second tier firms preferred. Current US GAAP knowledge required. Experience working with Netsuite is a plus. Expert Excel skills with strong analytical capabilities. Willingness to roll up sleeves and get hands dirty is essential; experience working at a high growth startup strongly preferred. Experience working with multiple international subsidiaries and foreign currency exchange accounting and operational issues is strongly preferred. Flexibility to work with team members in different time zones on a daily basis is essential.
