Staff Accountant

Job Title – Staff AccountantCompany Location – Westwood, CA (Los Angeles Area)Hybrid, On-site, Full TimeSalary – $90,000k, DOEJob Summary of the Staff Accountant positionIntegr8staff seeks an experienced Staff Accountant with extensive working experience in the legal field.Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant positionMaintain accurate and updated Client Ledgers by posting payments to their respective matters.Confirm payments are applied to appropriate invoices between fees and costs.Identify and troubleshoot discrepancies between accounting records, researching and resolving errors by communicating with clients, vendors, and/or internal team.Responsible for daily bank deposits and daily reconciliation of those deposits.Transfer funds between bank accounts on an as-needed basis.Respond to clients, attorneys, and staff related to accounts receivables and trust balances.Issue checks as requested.Prepare general ledger entries and maintain supporting records and files.Reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthly.Requirements of the Staff Accountant positionBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business, required.A minimum of 3 years of legal accounting experience is required.Must have extensive Accounts Receivable (A/R) and cash application experience.A solid understanding of basic accounting principles and their daily work application.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to perform duties in a manner that minimizes the likelihood of errors occurring.CPA license preferred.Updated resume is required for consideration.
