Udemy is growing and this role will help build processes, systems, problem solve and also help manage and mentor junior team members.What you'll be doing:Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations for the general ledger accounts for Cash, Fixed Assets, Leases & Prepaid expenses.Own your part in the initiative to reduce month-end close by one day and develop strategies to improve accounting operations efficiencies, effectiveness, and scalability, including the development and execution of policy, processes, and systems changes.Own monthly financial statements and trend analysis for your areas to ensure completeness, timeliness and accuracy of results.Collaborate with the Director of SOX to ensure a robust and effective controls environment over your impacted areas.Assist and ensure accounting systems scaling and ensuring all systems are being used to their full functionality.Support internal/external audits of the company's financial statements, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor questions and requests.Work on ad-hoc projects on an as needed basis.What you'll have2+ years of progressive accounting experience.Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related degree.CPA certification preferred.Experience in NetSuite preferred.Experience and knowledge in U.S. GAAP and SOX internal controls.About your SkillsProblem Solving:You see beyond the present problem and work to identify the fundamental 'why'.
