.Blue Yonder Title:Staff Accountant IIOther Comparable titles:Accountant, Project Accountant, Accountant I, Accountant**Location**:MEX - Mexico CityOverview:Blue Yonder Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant II to join the Revenue Accounting Department supporting the North America region.
This role is part of a team whose primary responsibilities includes all aspects of revenues and costs.
The position will support field personnel and Sr. Revenue Accountant's with project accounting and reoccurring revenue activities.Scope:Core responsibilities include timely resolution of agreement processing issues in coordination with SOW project desk, Operations, Sales, Project Accounting, and other teams as applicable.Our current technical environment:Software: Workday, Upland, Salesforce, Microsoft OfficeWhat you'll do:- Daily and monthly responsibilities include data gathering and/or verification.- Prepare monthly and quarterly general ledger balance sheet reconciliations.- Prepare monthly journal entries and revenue schedules in accordance with revenue recognition guidance ASC606 and methodologies.- The Staff Accountant will work directly with the North America and LATAM business teams and Project Managers.- Additional responsibilities include coordination of certain billing activities and revenue calculations.- The position will support Sr. Revenue Accountant's with invoicing, research, and additional tasks as needed.- The position requires operations in various financial systems.What we are looking for:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred or related field and 2-3 years of experience preferably in revenue accounting, project accounting, or contract accounting.- Experience with revenue recognition preferably in the software industry; experience with ASC 606a plus.- Strong computer skills: Intermediate Excel, general ledger/accounting system, ERP systems, and other Microsoft Office products.- Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and quality of work product.- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.- High degree of professionalism interacting with all levels of management.- Customer service oriented with excellent written and oral communication skills.- Organized and flexible with the ability to prioritize and work effectively on multiple tasks in a demanding fast pace environment.- Self-motivated team player.- Willingness to support multiple time zones.Our ValuesIf you want to know the heart of a company, take a look at their values.
