Are you ready to power positive change? Family Description: Plans, designs, develops, evaluates, selects and orders equipment for the development of new company products and for cost-effective manufacture of existing company products. Oversees the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of prototype, lab, and manufacturing equipment. Maintains professional and equipment vendor networks to stay updated on trends and developments in the equipment industry. Uses study of equipment performance and reliability to improve equipment design. Establishes programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process. Provides technical support to the process development, process engineering and manufacturing equipment maintenance engineering organizations. Involvement may begin at any step from laboratory-scale to pilot plant to full-scale manufacturing. Coordinates design requirement review with appropriate engineering/scientific personnel to ensure that equipment meets process, manufacturing, and safety requirements as well as operation cost targets. Designs experiments and compiles and evaluates test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for equipment design specifications. May conceive and plan projects involving definition and selection of new concepts, equipment technology, and approaches in the processing or development of new or improved processes.
Knowledge and Technical Skills: Demonstrates technical process/equipment expertise. Suggests alternative solutions to complex issues. Expert in technical leadership or process/ equipment qualification and development methodologies. Complexity: Works on problems of diverse scope, where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise. Solves complex technical problems within area of designation. Uses all resources at hand, internal and external, to apply the most appropriate problem solving techniques. Uses understanding of the root cause to develop future innovation opportunities. Teamwork, Collaboration and Influence: Insures that knowledge and information are appropriately communicated. Encourages collaboration by engaging others in problem solving. Collaborates company-wide on cross-functional, cross-divisional teams. Adept at working directly with customer or customer representative to discuss technical matters. Initiative: Works independently, providing leadership for some project elements. Develops and recommends solutions for problems of diverse scope. Creative Thinking and Innovation: Applies diverse experience from multiple projects to solve problems, benefit the project team and/or develop new technical roadmaps. Looks for innovative ways to improve operational methods to align with Maxeon values. Impact and Results Focus: Delivers results that positively impact productivity and quality of finished work or product. Demonstrates strong understanding of project scope and logic, including economics and relationship to needs of Maxeon's customers. Minimum Education and Experience: B.S. degree in Engineering and 4+ years of related experience or M.S.
