We thrive together as a global team, embracing our diverse backgrounds to make a positive impact on the world.Join us in POWERING POSITIVE CHANGESUMMARY OF ROLEMaxeon is seeking a Tool Install/Deployment Engineer to ensure Maxeon's growth by leading the design, development, installation, qualification, start-up, and subsequent metrics demonstration of new, retrofitted, and replicated module tools needed for capacity expansion of existing or new technologies or transfer of module lines from one site to another site. He is also responsible for deploying several projects (automation, HC reduction, value engineering, UPH improvements, etc) as part of continuous improvement. The start-up support team is responsible in ensuring that vendors are complying with the specifications of tools being installed and the schedule of tool installation during the production ramp. The Tool install/Deployment Engineers report to the GME tool install/deployment Manager.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDesign, develop, evaluates, select and order equipment that is most appropriate and cost-effective for the manufacture of company productsLead the start-up, installation, qualification, and early production support to local teams during the initial ramp-up. Provides tool support systems for the company's new, added, or retrofitted capacities.Deployment of several projects (automation, HC reduction, value engineering, UPH improvements, etc) as part of continuous improvementsWorks within cross-functional teams to safely install, qualify and transfer new module tools and processes to manufacturing. Responsible for prevention of hazardous conditions for personnel and equipmentDesign experiments (COV, DOE) and test plans (qualification/experimental) to measure and validate system performance against Maxeon standards and to quantify system capability against requirements.Applies sound engineering principles to quickly resolve installation and start-up challenges for a new module tool.Delivers requirements to ensure a smooth handshake between operations and startup teams. These key requirements must satisfy important metrics demonstration, documentation, and training of manufacturing personnelGuides and provides recommendations for issues and concerns on recently installed tools and their support systems to the local teams.Maintains documented history of the tool to guide future installs, problem-solving for downtimes, and basis for engineering systems such as FMEA, CNT, TCRs, and PCRs
