Staff Engineer, Lean Manufacturing – OperationsThis role is within Chamberlain Group's Nogales Manufacturing - Operations group. A successful incumbent is expected to lead continuous improvement activities and develop local coaches and training; identify the stakeholders and objectives for Kaizen and/or value-stream map (VSM) events, and analyze data required to understand problem root causes, or key drivers of required results.Key Responsibilities:Lead continuous improvement activities and develop local coaches and training; identify the stakeholders and objectives for Kaizen and/or value-stream map (VSM) events.Oversee continuous improvement and OPEX (Operational Excellence) initiatives and activities for the Nogales manufacturing operations.Act as lean coordinator for the manufacturing operations.Lead productivity efforts to meet company goals.Analyze data required to understand problem root causes, or key drivers of required results.Mentor other engineers on Lean Manufacturing tools. Provide process improvement training to applicable areas and lead the implementation of lean manufacturing methodologies.Support the determination of critical business metrics and build dashboards, scorecards, and other measurement systems and KPIs; ensure MDI process standardization.Identify and drive improvement opportunities based on data, customer feedback and stakeholder inputs, while ensuring cross-functional alignment and stakeholder buy-in.Create standardized processes and ensure implementation of standardized operating systems.Lead the process for proper selection of high value projects based on strategic fit, RONA, Revenue Growth, etc.; manage the project queue.Facilitate Lean events to support the strategic vision with emphasis on education, motivation, change and measurable results; lead and/or support Kaizen and value stream mapping events, six sigma projects, product quality, and productivity improvements.Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.Education/Certifications:Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.Lean Manufacturing Certification.Black Belt Certification.Experience:7+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Sr. Engineer or Lean Mfg. Sr. Engineer.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Leadership.Excellent Communication.Advanced Knowledge of Lean Tools and implementation.Advanced knowledge of material pull system.World class level exposure and fast paced environment.Advanced English proficiency.Minimum Requirements:Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.Experience: 7+ years in relevant engineering roles.Certifications: Lean Manufacturing Certification, Black Belt Certification.#J-18808-Ljbffr
