We are looking for Staff Engineer Mechanical to join our Juarez, Mexico Team.How You'll Help Us Connect the WorldThe primary responsibility of this position will be to support new product development. This includes, but is not limited to the following:- Participate in multiple product development and cost reduction team efforts. Meets projects targets and schedules.- Document of product requirements through knowledge & experience with relevant industry standards for fiber optic products.- Build designs of new components and assemblies and support the optical and mechanical testing of our fiber optic products.- Document to support the release of new and modified products. Clearly and concisely documents own work.- Support the optical and mechanical testing of fiber optic products, and write test reports to document the testing results through knowledge & experience with the lab testing equipment and procedures.- Work with Manufacturing on process development and introductions of new products into Manufacturing through knowledge & experience in fiber optic manufacturing equipment and processes.- Perform data analysis and evaluation. Structures and solves diverse range of complex problems with assistance from supervisors.- Project Manage activities related to self and others.- Perform failure analysis.- Review and approve product design and engineering change documentation for conformance to company, customer, agency and industry specifications and standards.- Understanding of driven products and IP position.- Generate Record of Inventions for innovations and pursue intellectual property protection.- Ability to deliver technical improvements to existing products/processes/services where feasible resulting in cost reductions or quality improvement.- Actively gives to codified knowledge base within CommScope.- Ability for travel potentially to international locations.- Collaboration with current staff which includes other engineers and technicians in team oriented environment
