They act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface. They support Product Development in the optimization of designs and piece parts for manufacturability by realizing sample tooling/products/prototypes. They also design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability, initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost and cycle time and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements and customer requirements.What your background should look like:Requirements:Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering Degree or equivalent is preferred.8 years of work experience on high-speed cable manufacturing, specifically cable assemblies for data centers, AI, and supercomputing including cable form factors such as OSFP, QSFP, and QDD.Experience to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Experience with applicable systems (SAP, TLM, CAD etc.) and familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.Strong experience to understand industry document specifications like US-CAR & IPC620.Strong understanding of cable making technology, stamping and plating technology, HSG molding technology, metal and plastic raw material characteristics.Experience on product tolerance analysis, stability using verify data analysis of the processes, such as the CPK.Expertise with the product development process, able to provide DFM, SOP, PFMEA, BOP, CTAR required for each phase according to the project schedule.Working knowledge of manual, semi-automatic and automatic assembly processes.Responsibilities:Highly Support Product Development by optimizing designs and piece parts for manufacturability, and by realizing sample tooling, product samples, and prototypes.Tooling and Process Development: Expertise on design, develop, and qualify tooling and manual/automated processes for high speed products to meet TE quality and production standards, documenting all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems.Implementation of New Manufacturing Technologies: Strive to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control, enhancing overall manufacturing capabilities
