TE Connectivity's Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop suppliers to support the strategic sourcing organization in driving incremental performance improvements in supplier quality, delivery, price and service.
- Coach new suppliers on how to work within TE guidelines (portal access, e-procurement tool usage, TE procedures, etc.).
- Extend TE Operational Advantage into the supply base to generate continuous improvement in the extended value stream, deliver incremental improvements through supplier development lead projects and achieve improvement targets specific for supplier development.
- Work with Commodity Managers and Strategic Sourcing Specialists to inform the broader procurement organization of trends and new supply options.
- Perform on-site assessments to audit supplier processes and verify supplier performance.
- Work as support for various TE manufacturing sites, focusing on how supplied material impacts potential look across processes and materials.
- Help mitigate risk of supplier for on-going and new business impact.
- Supplier preparation to support New Program Introduction (NPI), Advanced Development with TE Engineering and Supplier migration activity to strategic suppliers.
- Monitor and react to key supplier performance metrics.
- Regularly engage with assigned Top Impact Suppliers to review supplier performance and drive improvement.
- Address supplier development needs for quality requirements such as problem-solving, failure mode analysis, value stream mapping.
- Motivated individual with the ability to learn quickly and work in a self-directed work environment with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to take ownership of actions and lead to closure.
- A clear communicator who can speak and present confidently to a diverse audience, including senior management.
- Ability to work well in a cross-functional environment and with global team members.
- Fluent in English,; reading, writing, and speaking English language.
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business or other related disciplines.
- Proficient with MS-Office products, SAP background is a plus.
- Experience with stamping, molding, or machining preferred.
- Certified AS9100 Auditor or similar Quality Management System.
- Understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), 8D, 5 why, Fishbone, Practical Problem Solving, and experience with Minitab.
- Willingness to travel and interact proactively with supplier and TE manufacturing site personnel.
