Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Director, the Stamping Process Engineer role involves being in charge of process-engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality and delivery improvements in order to uphold a manufacturing organization.What a typical day looks like:Recognize the manufacturing process, technologies, techniques, and the product.Define, implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability.Identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process, either individually or with other engineering stakeholders.Participate in daily production activities and effective problem solving on daily issues.Prepare justification, purchase, and implement capital equipment for production.Oversee new process equipment production.Manage the raising and introduction of engineering change orders (ECOs).Establish robust, repeatable, and reproducible process parameters.Develop, implement, and take ownership of process control methodologies.Troubleshoot process-related issues.Participate in activities pertaining to cycle time and process improvements.Evaluate and select various engineered materials.Implement statistical process research on new and existing products.Implement safety, productivity, and cost improvements.Improve manufacturing techniques and throughput.Provide continuous development of manufacturing techniques that will improve in-house capabilities.Develop and maintain process documentation.Review processing methods.Interface with production for all activities associated with new process implementation and transfer.Assist in the development of training and provide training to production personnel during new technology transfer.Provide equipment maintenance and repair support as required.Guide cost improvement/reduction programs.The experience we're looking to add to our team:BA/BS/MBA or equivalent work experience.Fluent English.Previous experience as a process engineer in the tool area (soft tool or hard tool).Experience with Hard tool processes.Implementation of ECOs.Analysis of tools and designs for quotation.Support and validation of qualification runs for new tools.Analysis and DFM capacity for parts manufactured in Hard tool.Knowledge of peripheral processes in a stamping area and tool room.Definition of parameters for stamping equipment.Tool analysis and fault debugging.FAI analysis to achieve CPK qualification and studies.Development of fixtures for validation at the machine.Definition of packaging methods.Definition of operating population for a stamping cell.Analysis of CTFs and critical dimensions for assembly, as well as the definition of partial tolerances to guarantee the same.Implementation of floor control methods
