Job Description

What you will be doing: Reporting to the Chef de Cuisine of Hotel Restaurants, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues.Assist in the preparation and service of all food items for a la carte and/or buffet menus according to hotel recipes and standardsActively share ideas, opinions and suggestions in daily shift briefingsMaintain proper rotation of product in all chillers to minimize waste/spoilageEnsure storeroom requisitions are accurateEnsure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipmentHave full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotionsFollow kitchen policies, procedures and service standardsFollow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverageOther duties as assignedHourly Rate: $34.47USD Gross per hourYour experience and skills include: 3 years or previous experience in the culinary field is an asset.In possession of a Food Handlers CertificateStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesHighly responsible & reliableAbility to work well under pressure in a fast paced environmentAbility to work cohesively as part of a teamAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesPhysical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): Constant standing and walking throughout shiftFrequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbsOccasional kneeling, pushing, pullingOccasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and rampsExposure to hot surfaces
