**Your Role and Responsibilities**
Each of the positions in the Engineering Technologist job family is responsible for performing
and programming knowledge in a safe, effective, efficient manner for the accomplishment of
assigned objectives.
This position will support Integrated Design and Construction software
and process development, and work in a cross-functional team comprised of Engineers,
Designers, Project Managers, and Information Technology personnel to create AutoDesk
product and Spatial Business Systems (SBS) Substation Design Software (SDS) system
enhancements to automate engineering and design functions.
The role may include
assisting with: opportunity identification; scoping and defining automations; development,
testing and deployment of code; and system administration activities.
The role will be
responsible for developing, testing, and deploying system enhancements, and for providing
on-going support and continued improvements of those enhancements.
The following are activities that will be performed, but not limited to:
- Develop enhancements and automations using AutoDesk system APIs, LISP, iLogic, vBA, and other methods.
Impacted AutoDesk systems may include: Inventor, AutoCAD, AutoCad Electrical, Navisworks, Revit, Vault, Forge, and BIM360.
- Enhancements and automations may also be created in Spatial Business Systems Substation Design Software (SDS), and Utility Data Hub (UDH).
These enhancements and automations may require data and connections to non-engineering and design tools, such asset management and work management tools.
- Demonstrates the ability to perform with proper guidance special technical functions required in the relevant area of assignment.
- Gains familiarity with pertinent equipment, materials, systems, and business processes.
- Assists higher level employees in handling well defined portions of routine problems.
- Maintains required records to support assignments and prepares special reports for tests, equipment performance, projects and other reports as assigned.
- Actively seeks out information to increase technical knowledge in area of responsibility.
- Collaborate with various departments during the course of the project.
**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Experience developing with autodesk (LISP, iLogic, vBA, Inventor, AutoDesk system APIs: AutoCAD, AutoCad Electrical, Navisworks, Revit, Vault, Forge, and BIM360)
- Civil engineer or electricity industry experience
- Intermediate level of english
**Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Spatial Business Systems Substation Design Software (SDS), and Utility Data Hub (UDH).
- Experience in Electricity Business would be an added advantage
