**Responsibilities**:
**The Opportunity**
Responsible for owning the forecasts generated though the PFE while partnering with the IBP Forecasting Analytics and PBNA Demand Planning Leads to identify, implement and ultimately deliver forecasting solutions which provide the necessary levels of both near and longer-term forecast accuracy
**Your Impact**
As a Statistical Forecasting Specialist your responsibilities would consist of:
- Partner with Demand Planning BU Leads to ensure that the PFE solution effectively address the needs for the BU and further provides business insights & learnings.
- Deliver Stat forecast for both short and long term horizons while achieving Accuracy and Bias Targets
- Weekly BU collaboration on forecast, events, KPIs, opportunities etc
- Own Historical data, Driver inputs, forecast, enrichments, and root cause analysis
- Experiment, Analyze, and implement modeling changes that drive improved performance through forecating UI
- Partner with Data Science team to drive forecast accuracy improvements through model changes, cluster and recipes adjustments, feature engineering and other fine tunning methods
- Own Demand Sensing Solution and activation model to drive forecast accuracy
- Develop and own Python and VBA scripts to support the Statistical Forecasting Porcess and adhoc exploratory analysis
- Leads post performance forecast analytics to determine root cause of performance gaps and generate hypotheses to implement the optimal corrective actions.
- Lead hypothesis development and test execution to continuously refine the statistical forecasting engine.
- Assists in developing reporting capability to provide proactive alert notification for demand planning end users as well as insights for other stakeholders.
- Utilize Analytical capability and detailed data analysis to drive continuous improvement of modeling capability over both the short and long-term horizons.
- Compiles summary reports and performs statistical analysis.
Qualifications:
**Who Are We Looking For?**
**Education**
- Bachelors in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics or related.
**Experience**
- 2-4 years of Statistical and Machine learning Forecating experience
- Programming abilities in Python, SQL, R, VBA, SAS
- Strong analytical skills.
- Advanced English is REQUIRED
- Ability to present quantitative data in an easy-to-understand manner that balances both analytics as well as business implications.
- Lead continuous improvement or capability development work streams including scope definition, analysis, recommendations, and implementation.
