.Job DescriptionThe Strategic Solutions Buyer is responsible for the Management and control of Sensia Supply Chain activities in North America, as well as supporting other country requirements in the Mexico and Latin America Region. Reporting to the Mexico and LATAM Purchasing Team Leader, you will provide strategic and operational support for Sensia Process Automation Business /Measurement projects/opportunities, including, but not limited to; Direct Project, Indirect, & Capital expenditure. A Solution will generally comprise of a unique specification, combining technologies from the Sensia product portfolio, third party hardware/software/integrators/labor, and Sensia Engineering design, to create a turnkey solution for a client.**Role and Responsibilities**Working with the local projects team(s) Project Engineers and/or Project Manager(s), identify project need(s) and complete the Request For Quotation (RFQ), Request For Proposal (RFP) process from the current Sensia Approved Suppliers List (ASL), or preferred partners of the Parent Company.Lead the relationship with the Global Engineering Center (GEC) Buyers, to support the Country/Regional Procurement transactions including, but not limited to; completion of the new part process, conversion of Purchase Requisitions (PR) to Purchase Orders (PO) and submission to suppliers, receiving and updating the ERP from the order acknowledgement, expediting, resolving invoicing errors and other related operational activities. You may be required to transact these functions on occasions.Provide a single point of contact for any non-standard/urgent project requests and maintain ownership from creation of PO to delivery, whilst providing regular updates to the originator.Identify and develop Strategic Sourcing Process for key commodities that allows to reduce the supply delivery, maintain existing & establish new strategic relationships with key suppliers, drive and record cost reductions/avoidance through a combination of contract negotiation, consolidation of spend across Regional/Global suppliers, potential re-engineering/resourcing from alternative sources, driving best practice through procurement methods and efficient processes whilst eliminating waste and maintaining corporate ethical standards.Prepare and complete supplier evaluations in accordance with corporate procedures. Negotiate commercial terms and conditions of sale/purchase and "back to back" project terms, working with Contracts & Negotiations as required to resolve any conflicts.Create, monitor and agree Key Performance Indicators and/or Service Level Agreements for critical supplies, and be able to engage with, and address issues at a Senior level with the supplier organization.Work together as a team, and on your own, to overcome any challenges that may arise, to ensure mínimal impact to the project demands, whilst developing a Country/Regional demand planning process for critical supplies
