This role will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and will be responsible for overseeing the movement of goods between different countries.JOB DUTIESDevelops and implements import/export strategies that support the company's business goals and ensures compliance with international trade regulations.Manages import and export documentation, including customs declarations, bills of lading, and other shipping documents.Negotiates freight rates and contracts with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics providers.Manages relationships with customs officials and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with import/export regulations.Manages all procurement for a family of parts including PO management, product knowledge, substitutions, second sourcing, expedites, and all related receival and invoicing issues.Converts supplier requisitions and processes purchase orders, expedites purchase orders, manages past due purchase orders, using the system tools and reports.Resolves any supplier discrepancies with accounting, inventory control, or shipping and coordinates logistics and freight issues with suppliers and receiving department.Maintains a strong understanding of Mexican customs and fiscal regulations, including all Free Trade Agreements in which Mexico participates.Manages and interprets Annex 24 and Annex 30.Implements the IMMEX program to comply with all regulations of the program.Performs other duties as assigned.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCETypically requires a bachelor's degree and three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a related field.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIESExcellent interpersonal skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsFluent in EnglishStrong understanding in freight and commodity indicesAbility to coordinate with corporate functions in USA (Trade Compliance, Marketing, IT Asset, etc.
