.TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.**What your background should look like**:**Primary Responsibilities, Tasks & Deliverables**:- Negotiations with suppliers and internal customers on the strategy and best total cost of ownership.- Global and Regional RFQ and benchmark activity- Drive KPI improvement including STR, DLPM, Supplier consolidation and lead time reduction- Support the development of a global strategic supplier list that is technically and competitively advanced that it provides an advantage for TE.- Lead in supplier negotiations and selection.- Functional expert on commodity related issues such as part qualification, quality, delivery, cost, and development.- Drive new supplier development with a focus on best total cost of ownership.- Ensure lowest upfront cost by aiding in supplier and technical selection.- Work closely with Commodity Managers in the Business Units to support supplier negotiation strategies and ensure the sharing of best-practices- Work closely with BU Engineering teams over supplier selection and cost reduction through VA/VE and OMP activities.- Provide monthly KPI reports and gap closure plans to key stakeholders and senior management.- Drive innovation and building supplier strategic relationships.- Hold supplier QBRs.- Maintain accurate system data, such as commodity codes- Identify supplier risks, and actively manage, ensuring necessary actions are taken to mitigate the risks.- Help create and maintain the corporate strategy.- Support Supplier Material Compliance Management for PCB, Magnetics and EM- Develop & support supplier workshops**Profile**:- Related PCB experience and technical knowledge on PCB will be beneficial.- Relevant electronics components experience will be beneficial.- Direct experience working at large electronic company (3 years minimum).- Strong analytical skills.- Strong working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint- Excellent oral and written communication skills demonstrated by the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and with suppliers
