TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.

- Responsibility/Job Complexity:
- Primary responsibility as a Strategic Sourcing Analyst (III) is to develop and implement sourcing strategies working with cross-functional partners to meet sourcing and cost savings results. Work is of a complex nature involving a considerable amount of initiative, analytical work, and a high level of independent judgment. Individual must exhibit the ability to problem solve and implement innovative strategies related to cost savings and process/operations improvement in assigned commodities. Assigned commodities are within the Human Resources function (supporting TE's purpose of creating a sustainable environment)- Responsible for sourcing/negotiations utilizing the sourcing process (RFP, Proposal/Cost Analysis, and Source Selection) to establish a capable/competitive global supply base.
- Manage supplier relationships and ensure achievement of supplier commitments (Service Levels, Cost, Timing, Quality, and Sustainability)
- Industry/Market awareness of current developments, trends, and innovation in areas of expertise
- Engage with internal stakeholders and lead cross-functional projects/initiatives, ensuring adherence to procurement policies and procedures
**What your background should look like**:
- Education/Work Experience:
- BA/BS, + 3 years minimum work experience (OR)
- MA/MS, + 2 years minimum work experience
- Preferred experience in various procurement areas including vendor management, negotiation, etc.
- Business planning and forecasting (beginner level acceptable)
- Computer Knowledge/Proficiency:
- MS Excel - advanced level
- MS Word - advanced level
- MS Outlook - advanced level
- MS PowerPoint - advanced level
- SAP - Working knowledge
