**About the Role***
As our Strategy & Planning Associate, you will help us with the strategic business planning process and projects across Mexico, as well as Strategic Initiatives that will transform our business.
You will also develop strategies to improve internal communication, process and mandates, author strategic partnerships and initiatives, explore sophisticated business issues, and market analysis, prioritize key strategic meetings with different teams, and develop the respective action plans!
**What You'll Do**
- Collaborate with different city, regional, and global teams to identify high-priority business needs
- Develop and run tools and processes to complete strategic and business plans
- Deliver on initiatives and goals through thoughtful interpersonal planning and project management
- Serve as a strategic consultant to the business through trusted partner relationships with the leadership team, delivering impact against priorities that will benefit the business and employees
- Actively support all business intelligence, strategic planning, and analytical activity for senior management of the country
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners in operations and product to bring 'first of their kind' partnerships to life
- Set, supervise, and report on strategic performance metrics
- Drive operational precision in high-growth Mexican markets through process improvements and better alignment between verticals
- Identify internal operational opportunities and help improve or innovate people programs to keep them as effective and efficient as possible
**What You'll Need**
- **Years of Experience/Industry**: 3+ years of investment banking, consulting, startup strategy, or operations roles.
- Professional proficiency in English
- **The ability to balance attention to detail with swift execution** - we need to do things quickly, and we need to do them well. Balancing those can be challenging, and this should be a strength.
- **Self-starter attitude** - the ability to self-serve, investigate, and get the data we require will make you much more effective in this role.
- **Planning & Organization**: Ability to plan sophisticated or multi-faceted projects, define timelines, results, interdependencies, and prioritization, and delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate team members.
- **Adaptability**: Ability to efficiently handle and prioritize sophisticated operations that require the support of peers and other teams, and deliver results in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, while maintaining high-quality work standards.
- **Teamwork**: The nature of the team implies collaboration and interaction with cross-functional teams (Operations, Finance, Product, Marketing, Public Affairs, Legal, Tax, HR, etc.) to ensure we are bringing all available tools to bear on our toughest problems.
- Confirmed experience interpreting and communicating data to senior audiences in an engaging and comprehensive, yet succinct manner. Explains big-picture context for projects, giving the why" behind the work. Ensure the right messages, presentations, and forums to bring together and cascade strategy and plans.
- Ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment while maintaining flexibility and a collaborative demeanor
- Detailed understanding of a variety of business models (we're still proving ours)
- Data-driven decision-making ability and sound business judgment through deep analytical thinking
- Solid experience crafting decks
- SQL experience is a huge plus!
