The Public Affairs Officer Sr Mgr accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Responsibilities:Primarily responsible to protect, build and promote Banco Nacional de México's image, brand and reputation to its stakeholders through effective media strategy/execution.Develop and implement external communication strategies, considering national, international and local media, for launches, announcements and presentations by the bank and its directors, based on the institution's objectives, current analysis and the media agenda.Develop communication strategies and positioning of corporate messages on social networks.Drive Media coverage for Banco Nacional de México.Pursue Creative Editorial Executions.Design plans for the prevention and management of critical situations that protect the reputation of the bank and its brand, as well as its products and services.Maintain a close relationship with the different areas of the institution, to detect communication opportunities or critical issues.Plan with the bank's business areas the specific strategies that reinforce the launches and presentations of products and/or services, maximizing synergies with other areas of the institution to maximize media and social media coverage.Advise and support the bank's spokespersons in media management, when necessary, through media training, to improve their performance in interviews with the media and meetings with journalists. Executive writing of corporate positions, executive speeches, key messages, letters, documents to address difficult questions, media profiles, press releases, information notes, fact sheets and social media posts for effective communication.Monitor media coverage of Banco Nacional de México, the financial industry and key competitors.Media Networking and management of media relations.Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Banco Nacional de México group, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.Continuous monitoring and follow-up of the main current issues in local, national and international media that are of interest to the bank.Qualifications: Knowledge of communications and social media with 6-10 years of experience.Articulate; cool and composed; can handle stressful situations even with media and social media.Ability to come up with creative and comprehensive public relations programs and follow thru on execution.Strong communications (written, verbal and interpersonal) skills, including tact, diplomacy, and ability to influence senior executives.Critical Thinker – ability to grasp the situation and understand the impact.Good networking and public relations skills. Proactive, wide reader and seeks out PR opportunities for the businesses.A team player who will implement initiatives effectively and motivate others to perform their task.Adobe suite basic management.Social listening and measuring tools.Others: excellent spelling and writing; analytical, handling confidential information, focus on results, service attitude, negotiation, adherence to policies and process, planning, ease of self-learning, organization, innovation, decision making, conflict management, initiative.Education: Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially master's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, social media or another related field.Advanced English (written and oral).Additional: Design and manage communication and social media strategies to strengthen the positioning of the brand, its products and services among key audiences, as well as establish plans for crisis management and prevention that protect the bank's reputation, through relationships with media (local, national and international) and social media.
