**Description**
This job is responsible for advising train operators, enabling applicants to machinist, imparting security talks, carrying out inspections to the trains line up, personally participating in rescue labors, and collaborating in the execution of aleatory verifications with the help of the Pulses and Quantum systems and in the monitoring of speeds with radar guns, to avoid lesions, incidents, delays and sanctions.
**Accountabilities**
- Enables applicants to machinist, giving instruction in classroom and on board of the train, for the guarantee of an excellence learning.
- Imparts security talks, at the moment of carrying out the Tests of Uniform Efficiency, to avoid risks.
- Carries out inspections to the trains line up, checking for the execution of the regulations, for avoiding accidents and sanctions.
- Participates in the rescue labors, gathering information from the Pulses and Quantum systems and taking charge of the maneuvers for the free track determination and for avoiding delays.
- Collaborates in the random verification carrying out, extracting information from the Pulse and Quantum Systems, for analyzing the trains' path
- Collaborates in the train speed monitoring, personally moving from one assigned place to another between points, for the speeds registering with the help of radar guns.
- Understands the relevant business metrics and applies effective tactics to sustain a culture of operational effectiveness that produces teams of high performing, engaged and empowered operational leaders.
- Identifies when a rule/regulation/policy has been violated and has one-on-one accountability conversations with an individual who has not met expectations, using KCS Candor, Aligning the Stars & KCS ABC's, and have the individual produce better results.

**Required**
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in a job related major field of study
- Minimum seven (7) years of relevant professional experience, including leading and managing projects or programs with outcome-focused deliverables, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum one (1) year of experience directly or indirectly leading a team
**Preferred**
- 5 years expertise of Engineer or Road Foreman Engineer.
**Working Conditions**
- Shift work is an essential function of this job. Employees must have the ability and willingness to support critically important railroad operations 24 hours per day/7 days per week, working various shifts as assigned. Schedule assignments may include after-hours, weekends and holidays.
