Description This position is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and inspection of Reach stackers, hostlers, forklifts, frame cranes (RTG) to ensure they are safely maintained in a quality, cost effective, and compliant manner.
This position is also responsible for responding or directing personnel to manage service interruptions within the terminal due power equipment failures, ensure maintenances are achieved on time, managing special projects; personnel management; meeting objectives to support service to all power equipment; and ensuring all work is being performed within company guidelines, safety rules, OEM best practices, and AAR regulations.
Keeping inventories of parts feed, and ask purchasing team for parts and services.
Executing the maintenance of the equipment with hands on it, leading his team, teaching and developing them to reach better knowledge and understanding of the equipment.
Accountabilities Acts as a team lead and coordinates the work of others, supervising the daily activities of his operations team members.
Applies and enforces guidelines to ensure compliance and equitable application of policies, procedures, practices, programs, processes, and systems and makes suggestions for continued improvement or increased efficiencies.
Plans and prioritizes work to meet team commitments.
Provides timely and constructive coaching and feedback; develops staff and provides challenging opportunities.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications Required Engineering in electromechanics, mechatronics or similar, technical career in electromechanics industrial maintenance diplomas or preparation of logic controllers (PLC) Knowledge of electric motors controlled by frequency converters through digital communication.
Knowledge and mastery of medium and low-attention energy systems.
Knowledge of 12 and 24 volt electronic systems for heavy off-road equipment (not truck mechanics).
Knowledge of intermodal port machinery mechanics, equipment brands such as Liebherr Fuchs, Terex, Taylor, Konecanes, Linde Hyster Ferrari, Fantuzzi, Kalmar Therberg capacity of the intermodal turn, cargo handlers, and containers.
Interpretation of electrohydraulic diagrams.
Knowledge of Diesel engine repair Theoretical and practical for diagnosis.
Cummings, QSM11, QSX15, QSB6.7 QSB5.9 Volvo Penta.
Knowledge and understanding of the logic and electronics of Danna Spicer and Allison Transmission automatic transmissions.
Knowledge of hydraulics, proportional operating systems and electronics of the same system.
(proportional operating valves and pumps in conjunction with power units and engines with electronic power demand (POD) system).
Preferred Minimum of 5 years as mechanic leader or main shop responsible (focus on field not just adiministrative profile it needs both).

Previous Kansas City Southern experience.
Knowledge in repair and maintenance of RTG frame cranes, counterbalanced cranes, reach stacker top loaders, forklifts, hostlers, port spreader attachments and intermodal heavy equipment in general.
Understanding of the electrical mechanical hydraulic systems of the machinery to provide support to the personnel under their charge who will carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities together with them.
Knowledge of digital communication systems via CANBUS PROFIBUS fiber optics.
Knowledge of oxycutting welding structure for boilermaking.
Working Conditions Shift work is an essential function of this job.
Employees must have the ability and willingness to support critically important operations 24 hours per day/7 days per week, working various shifts as assigned.
Schedule assignments may include after-hours, weekends and holidays.
