Description This position is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and inspection of locomotives to ensure they are safely maintained in a quality, cost effective, and compliant manner. This position is also responsible for responding or directing personnel to manage service interruptions within the terminal and on mainline, ensure daily TSP requirements are achieved, managing special projects / locomotive fleet modifications in support of locomotive fleet health initiatives; personnel management; meeting objectives to support service track and International Bridge fluidity and terminal production plans; and ensuring all work is being performed within company guidelines, safety rules, OEM best practices, and FRA and AAR regulations. Applies and enforces guidelines to ensure compliance and equitable application of policies, procedures, practices, programs, processes, and systems and makes suggestions for continued improvement or increased efficiencies. Ideal Candidate Qualifications Required High School diploma or equivalent Minimum two (2) years of relevant operations experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience LMS (Locomotive Management System) Preferred Wi-Tronix knowledge FRA 229 Railroad safety locomotive standards experience Minimum of one year as service track foreman operations service Team work ability Continuous improvement focus Communication skills Previous railroad experience Working Conditions Shift work is an essential function of this job. Employees must have the ability and willingness to support critically important railroad operations 24 hours per day/7 days per week, working various shifts as assigned. Schedule assignments may include after-hours, weekends and holidays.
