This is a place where you can make a world of difference.Follow Us on LinkedIn:If you have talent, initiative, and a desire to join a thriving global company with a wealth of career opportunities, you can make a world of a difference at Donaldson, _a leading provider of filtration solutions._ Our culture is based on the strong values of integrity, respect, and commitment.Donaldson is seeking a CAD Supervisor that consistently exceeds expectations, who thrives in a challenging workplace, and who can actively contribute to our talented team.Role Responsibilities:- Supervise, schedule and coordinate CAD systems and engineering design/drafting.- Provide designs that meet technical objectives through product design, manufacturability, standardization, and structural integrity.- Generate CAD assemblies using standard Donaldson components along with using the available resources to customize components to fit an end user's needs.- Detail and communicate designs with technical drawings so they can be manufactured across multiple manufacturing facilities.- Use knowledge and experience to provide feedback to improve current/future designs for both quality and cost effectiveness.- Use problem solving skills to address issues encountered on projects and work with personnel to get the necessary information through the correct points of contact.-- Manage multiple projects at one time in a deadline driven environment.- Determines the feasibility of design alternatives and makes appropriate recommendations regarding changes.- Perform capacity, workload, and resource planning- Provides effective direction for design team to ensure consistency.- Mentor team members in professional development- Maintain/recommend improvements to CAD hardware.- Establishes and participates in engineering standards and manufacturing design standards.Minimum Qualifications:- Associates degree, technical certificate, or relevant experience 6-8 years CAD design experience- NX design and Teamcenter or other PLM software experience.- Competent with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Preferred Qualifications:- Sheet Metal CAD Design experience- Use communication and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical personnel in both oral and written formats as needed to complete project objectives.- Someone who shows initiative and ownership in their work along with being self-motivated to carry out tasks with mínimal guidance.- Ideal applicant should be mechanically inclined and be familiar with sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing environments
