Eaton's IS AER ITD division is currently seeking a Supervisor de EHS.
**What you'll do**:
BASIC FUNCTION:
This position provides environmental, health, and safety, stability to the site. Individual is accountable for: supporting EHS activities at the location; accomplish EHS objectives and targets; internal reporting of EHS performance; review and be aware of national, and local regulatory requirements, and ensuring documents are available in the local language. Position is responsible for: maintaining site ZWTL certification; assuring accurate and complete EHS reporting of metrics; assuring closure of MESH and regulatory agency findings on a timely basis; completion of required training for EHS personnel; helping to direct actions during crises; site security, maintaining a strong EHS culture that engages employees throughout the site in EHS teams and processes. Carry out all activities according to Eaton's Ethics and Values.
ESSENTIALS FUNCTIONS:
Development, implementation and execution of this division's Annual EHS Action Plan and EHS projects.
Participates in the Corporate EHS Audit Program as an auditor.
Ensure EHS Compliance Calendars are developed and maintained
Ensure process in place for investigation of employee concerns, EHS Incidents, and Employee Observations/Near Misses, along with corrective action development, implementation and follow-up
Ensure the development of emergency brigades and emergency preparedness for the site.
Maintain and communicate EHS metrics as required, to facility, division and/or corporate EHS management.
Evaluate effectiveness of existing EHS programs; if needed develop and implement additional programs.
Ensure facility maintain systems to track necessary data for environmental reports, along with timely report submittal.
Develop and facilitate all required EHS training, maintain the site EHS training calendar.
Facilitates risk assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects. Works with cross-functional team to work targets and objectives based on key EHS risks.
Works to develop MESH element champions and facilitate their engagement in ownership of the MESH elements. Acting as a Champion or Co-Champion in several categories or elements
Drives and promotes zero incident EHS culture throughout site.
Creates and facilitates EHS engagement through EHS teams and committees needed to accomplish the established targets and objectives for the year.
Works with leadership team and MESH element champions to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for EHS country, state, and local regulations.
Ensure the merge of EHS and CI for site.
Take active part in lean events.
**Qualifications**:
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in a technical field, preferably engineering, chemistry, or EHS management.
- 3+ years of relevant experience with an emphasis in environmental, health and safety programs
- Advanced English
- Ability to work in matrix organization with multiple reporting responsibilities
- Medium business English communication and written skills.
- Understanding of all components of an EHS Program, including accident investigation, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, life safety, machine guarding, air permitting, wastewater, hazardous waste, property conservation, and workers' compensation
- STPS, SEMARNAT, CEDES, OSHA, LFT, Protección Civil, normativity knowledge
- ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 knowledge
