**BASIC FUNCTION**
Under the supervision of the General Supervisor, this position is responsible for coordinating a group of operators in order to follow up and comply with the Production program. This position is also responsible for achieving the established goals for safety, quality and process improvement in the work area.
**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**
1. Responsible for: the supervision of a group of spraying operators; establishing daily work activities; monitoring performance; and providing feedback and training in order to meet the established production program.
2. Coordinate the overall quality of the group and demonstrate a basic understanding of quality standards. Lead the group to effectively monitor and track quality.
3. Accountable for the overall safety of the group, and to ensure that all production associates in the work area are provided with, and use, all required personal protection equipment.
4. Initiate projects and develop techniques to improve the processes.
5. Identify and analyze problems related to the process and make suggestions for improvement.
6. Maintain a culture of continuous improvement by identifying process improvement opportunities and support the use of continuous improvement tools such as: Kaizen, Six Sigma, and 5s.
7. Keep accurate records of spray department information and furnish reports to supervision as required.
8. Provides training to all new associates in the work area, and provide reinforcement training to factory associates as the needs arise or processes change.
9. Coordinate associate vacations in accordance with production schedule requirements.
10. Review associate time sheets daily and make necessary corrections, as well as attendance administration. Completes associate performance evaluations by required date.
11. Prepare reports, work on special projects and perform other tasks as assigned by supervision.
12. Comply with the Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities established for this position (See Responsibilities chart by position).
**RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS**
Supervisory Relationships:
1. Reports to the General Supervisor Kilns & Spray.
2. Supervises a group of operators.
Organization Relationships:
1. Frequent contact with Foremen Kiln.
2. Frequent contact with Foremen Cast Shop.
3. Frequent contact with all Kiln operators.

Preference High School or technical school
**EXPERIENCE**:
Preference 1 to 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in a similar position
