SHIFT MONDAY TO THURSDAY FROM 7:00 A.M. TO 7:00 A.M. TO 7:00 P.M.
**JOB DESCRIPTION**
**Position Summary**
This position is responsible to direct the development and implementation of activities in production areas to meet production goals, product quality, and cost objectives. Plan, organize and schedule production activities to meet demands. Provide direction, leadership, motivation to production personnel, and ensure adherence to the quality system.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Create monthly work objectives and plans for your production area, and implement them according to the production plan;
- Be responsible for organizing and managing the production workshop to complete production tasks;
- Organize the formulation and continuous improvement of business processes and management systems related to the functions of the Department;
- Organize personnel training of production department, and evaluate the performance of production workers;
- Coordinate the working relationship between with other departments;
- Complete the temporary tasks assigned by the superior;
- Report weekly on capacity, order delivery and inventory;
- Monitor and report any issues of production equipment and environment.
- Daily verification of parameters of production equipment;
- Responsible for safety in workshop areas
- Work with HR on maintaining personnel assistance, low absenteeism, and turnover; and
- Support for new product transfers.
**Supervisory Responsibilities**
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; plan, assign, and direct work; evaluate performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.
**Education and/or Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, chemistry, electronics or other life science discipline;
- Minimum 3 years' experience in the manufacturing industry and in a leadership role; and
- Experience in medical device industry is preferred.

- Must have demonstrated leadership skills. Able to lead and work within a team to meet goals/objectives and get results through others. Effectively motivate subordinates.
- Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills;
- Understanding and implementation of Lean Manufacturing for process improvement and problem solving;
- Able to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities;
- Knowledge of FDA and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP);
- Must have proven ability to drive adherence to production schedule;
- Experience in driving high levels of compliance with regulatory and quality systems requirements;
**Language Skills**
Bilingual in English and Spanish. It is critical for this position to be able to converse in both languages whether in writing or speaking to all levels of personnel for varying reasons (instructions on to assistant on how to maintain building services or possibly to the management on why there is a need for improvement or change.
