.Be the leader of the work team, provide direction for the designated production area within the plant. You will be responsible for performance with respect to safety and environment, quality, on-time delivery, continuous improvement, staff development, and cost of your production area. You will be the front line contact between production employees and administrative staff, expected to represent the company when interacting with production employees. This person will be responsible for establishing a world-class culture in Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement and Employee Development in their respective production area- Lead and support the commissioning and installation of new equipment, including cleaning, painting, rebuilding, installation, runoff, PPAP runs, and final production.- Provide leadership direction to technicians, operators, engineers, and outside vendors.- Support the hiring of new employees (operators, technicians, etc.)- Lead and support the setup of new processes/equipment, documentation and employees for the new manufacturing sites at ECHI.- Lead and support the implementation of the Continuous Improvement Framework processes, including Gemba Walks, Staffing Strategy, Process Checks, Daily Accountability, Process Standardization, Visual Checks, and Leader Standard Work. Inculcate a culture of Continuous Improvement in all employees.- Conduct ongoing meetings focusing on safety, quality, lead times, cost/productivity, and inventory.- Use Lean Six Sigma methodologies to reduce operating costs, inventory, and delivery times, as well as ensure alignment with long-term manufacturing strategies.- Develop and establish manufacturing priorities based on the production schedule and monitor employee work requirements to meet delivery times to our internal and external customers.- Enforce and implement safety policies and programs, meet operating budgets, complete continuous improvement plans, and train employees on behavior/performance issues and initiate disciplinary action if necessary.
