Supervises the equipment maintenance activities of the organization.
Job Duties: Monitors workers responsible for the maintenance of production equipment and related systems.
Assists with root cause analysis of equipment failures and implements fixes.
Coordinates preventative maintenance with the production planning staff and inspects work for completeness.
Receives requests for maintenance, prioritizes maintenance activities based on urgency and availability of resources, and assigns technicians to open work orders.
Inspects equipment regularly to identify current and potential maintenance needs.
Maintains records and documentation related to repairs made.
Oversees the work of technical maintenance staff, contractors, or subcontractors.
Experience and Education: Knowledge of the field's policies, procedures, and practices.
Leads and directs the work of other employees.
Typically has some authority for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions.
Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 4 or more years of experience.
Reports to: Typically reports to a department head or manager.
